G&E Dock and Seawall has been proudly serving the Middle Georgia community for over 40 years. Established in 1983 by Larry Ethridge and Giles Gazaway, our company has grown into a trusted name in waterfront construction.
We serve Middle Georgia, including Lake Sinclair (Milledgeville), Lake Oconee (Eatonton) and Lake Jackson (Monticello and Jackson). Our barges are mobile and we travel all over the state of Georgia. Yes. Lake Sinclair, Lake Oconee and Lake Jackson are Georgia Power lakes, so docks, boathouses, seawalls and other shoreline work there need a Georgia Power permit before construction starts. We handle the permit process for you and build to Georgia Power’s shoreline guidelines.
No. We walk the property with you to plan the project and price it. After that, we handle the Georgia Power permits, construction and cleanup, whether you’re at the lake or back home.
A seawall is essential for protecting your property against erosion caused by water action. It acts as a barrier, safeguarding your shoreline and preserving the integrity of your land.
We use pressure treated ground contact lumber. Our seawalls are built to last, providing long-term protection and durability.
The construction timeline for a seawall can vary depending on factors such as the size of the project and site conditions. We’ll work closely with you to establish a timeline that meets your needs and ensures quality craftsmanship.
Rip rap is a layer of large rock placed along a shoreline or embankment. It breaks up wave action, prevents erosion and stabilizes the bank while blending in with the natural shoreline. We install rip rap on its own or along the base of a seawall for added protection.
We specialize in custom-built docks tailored to your specific requirements. Whether you’re looking for a fishing dock, a gathering space for family and friends, or a combination of both, we can design and construct the perfect dock for you.
We use pressure treated lumber to ensure durability and longevity. We also have the option to use round poles, “pilings,” or 6×6 posts in the water. Our team will work with you to suit your aesthetic preferences and functional needs.
Yes, we offer maintenance services to keep your dock in top condition. From inspections to repairs, we’ll ensure that your dock continues to provide years of enjoyment.
Yes. We install and service boat lifts for everything from wakeboard boats to jet skis, including repairs like replacing lift cables and motors.
